I'm not just a photographer ;)
Hi, it's me!
For anyone who doesn't know me my name is Kaley-lynn. I am the owner of Briar Rose Photography and Design.
You might not know about me but I've had about a million jobs before starting my photography career in 2016.
👗I was a store manager of a clothing store
🌯I was a server in a pub
👠I was a store manager at Aldo (Yes, I own too many shoes)
🤸♀️I was a promo manager for a radio station and gym
🍺I bartended in nightclubs until I eventually managed one
💱I was a district manager for a marketing company
Then I was a student where I received my diploma in 📸photography and 🖥️graphic design and 'wholla' here we are today many years later and I'm still doing what makes my heart the happiest!
I guess what I'm saying is every journey is different. If you found your dream job straight out of college, right after high school then I'm so flipping happy for you! However, if you're like me and went back to school at 28 and started your passion a little later on in life after trying out a few different jobs then I'm also so flipping happy for you! Life is an adventure don't forget to love your journey!

Below are recent headshots taken for my brother-in-law Brian MacDougall and his friend Jayce.
Brian MacDougall, Toronto-based actor & director, is best known for his roles in Murdoch Mysteries, Herschell Gordon Lewis' BloodMania, Hell on Wheels and Fargo. Fun fact, he is also now my brother-in-law and an awesome one at that! After being the best man at our wedding on March 1st, 2021, I had the opportunity to create some fresh new headshots for him.
Being an actor has been a lifelong passion of Brian's. After graduating from right here at our very own MacEwan University he went on to get his MA in Musical Theatre (performance) at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland in Glasgow. Brian has been relentlessly pursuing his dreams on the big screen however not before experiencing the theatre starring in some big stage hits such as Spring Awakening, Red Riding Hood and Ordinary Days to name a few.
Getting to know Brian over the last 7 years has been a delight. I've never known anyone more passionate and creative at his craft. It's an honour to call him family!
Jayce McKenzie is an improviser, hypnotist and an awarding winning theatre actor. She has been professionally entertaining audiences on stage for over a decade. In addition to the stage, Jayce also works in Film and TV and is a brand voice for Shaw TV and Internet.
